Homemade BBQ sauce made with bourbon. NEED I SAY MORE?! Not only is the jerky marinated in my own recipe of bourbon BBQ sauce, but just before its done smoking I toss in a bit more and finish the cook. More sweet than heat and make sure you have a napkin nearby for these delicious morsels of meat.
Thank you to my buddy David in Michigan for this recipe and suggestion!
Homemade plum based BBQ sauce which gives off a strong Asian flare. Similar to the bourbon BBQ, this is tossed in extra sauce for the final portion of the cook to really set the glaze. You’ll want your wet naps handy!
To quote my girlfriend: “Mack WTF, this is too good. Hurry up and package it so I don’t eat all of it right now!”
The full name of this batch is “SPICY AF (JUST LIKE MY GIRLFRIEND).” Let me just tell you this one hurts. This is a ghost pepper variant of my Spicy Teriyaki recipe. Not only is ghost pepper powder in the marinade, while the meat is hot and juicy right off the smoker I then toss in more brown sugar and ghost pepper powder.
Let me say again, this is not for the weak. You will be in pain no matter how high your spice tolerance.
